HIV/AIDS orphanage in Swaziland

This project was put together to help an HIV/AIDS orphanage for 4 to 6 year-old children in Swaziland, in a small village outside the capital. The volunteer student team behind the project helps the orphanage to feed and educate the children so that in the future they would be able to attend public schools. One of the current aims of the project is to raise funds to organize a volunteer trip to Swaziland during which the volunteers will build a school for the children of an HIV/AIDS orphanage.

The project is part of the operations of Aalto University School of Economics’ The Association of Economics Students in Helsinki’s division that focuses on development issues (KEHY).

For their efforts the team needs more active volunteers interested to help them in fundraising to enable the volunteers to go to Swaziland and build the school. They also need help with scaling their operations to have more impact and help more than the 100-150 children they’re able to help now. The team would also appreciate new volunteers with ideas on how to make their effort even more effective.
