At Aalto Social Impact, we envision an organic community of observers, thinkers, and actors, be they individuals, corporates, academics, or non-profit organizations collaborating across the confines of academic disciplines and work cultures to create a better world. We envision a seamless world where research is engaged with society, and social change is achieved through informed action.
Our Mission
Our mission is to seed, nurture and synthesize a socially and economically sustainable community engaged in creating value. We propose to do this by identifying and integrating the right resources to lower the barriers of collaborative thought and action. So, just what are some of these right resources? At the risk of sounding like Siddhartha under a Bodhi tree, we like to think the right kind of education, the right kind of interaction, and the right kind of mentorship, coupled with a sense of attachment to a purpose greater than one’s own are sufficient to achieve lasting social impact.

We believe in casting a wide net for knowledge and best practices, and constantly evolving them to suit the needs of the community we nurture. We strive to stay on top of our game by keenly observing and learning from our role models.

We believe in deluding ourselves about what can be rather than what has been achieved; that the right balance between self effacement and raw ambition can do wonders.
