We’re looking for new board members

Position: Board Members, Project Managers, Volunteers

Aalto Social Impact is recruiting board members, project managers and general volunteers.

Aalto Social Impact is a highly successful, registered non-profit association. At Aalto Social Impact, we identify and integrate resources that are required to lower the barriers of collaborative thought and action to enable lasting social change. We believe that the right kind of interaction, education, and mentorship coupled with the internal motivation to belong to a quest larger than one’s own are the key drivers of social change.

What kind of roles would you be playing?
At Aalto Social Impact, everybody wears multiple hats. Firstly, the board is structured such that each board member comes in with both: a vision for a certain standalone event or event-series (lectures, workshops, open-mic sessions etc.) and also the executive ability to go ahead and bring the event to life. Thus, you will join us with your own idea or will actively work on creating your own idea once you join us.

Secondly, we also wear different operational hats. Our day to day activities include:

• Contacting and inviting experts to our events as lecturers or organizers
• Promoting upcoming events on mailing lists, forums and social media
• Seeking out venues and making the event happen
• Filming and writing about our activities
• Reading about inspiring stories of social change and sharing that with our online community

It is certainly a plus if you’ve had experience in one of these areas.
